Mining Guide

In minecraft one of the main tasks are to gather the resources required to build houses or other objects. Ores are the most widely used item when trying to accomplish these buildings. Mining is how the player will get these ores and is done by right clicking on the particular rock you want to mine. Stone is able to be mined without needing a pickaxe but is a very slow process. Beyond Stone the player is required to have a pickaxe in the Inventory slot in use to be able to mine rocks like Coal Ore, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Redstone Ore, Lapis Lazuli Ore, and Diamond Ore.
The type of pickaxe will determine how fast you can mine different types of rocks and even the ability to mine certain others. Here is a list of the mining speed for each pickaxe type and what rocks they are able to mine to have the ore drop for the player.
The player will need wood to craft a Wooden Pickaxe or mine without any items to be able to get Cobblestone to Craft a Stone Pickaxe to mine more efficiently.
